Our chef worked with Amy to bring her signature donut dream to life. The result is this wonderfully floral donut with rose as the leading flavor that is simultaneously subtle and not overpowering, worked delicately into the layers of this donut. Rose is blended into a house-made icing colored with hibiscus. Honey whipped cream adds a light texture, while fresh basil provides a clean, balanced finish. Finished with an airy meringue topper, The Lover reflects balance, care, and intention in both flavor and form.

Amy - known as Life With Mrs P (@lifewithmrsp)- is a local tradwife influencer and mom of two who has been a fan of ours since we opened, and the feeling is mutual. 

Amy named her donut "The Lover" as she was inspired by the gentleness, tenderness, and steadiness of her husband, Daniel, as well as the “blossoming” process of vision therapy.

Two years into daily vision therapy work to heal her strabismus and improve her quality of life (less overstimulation, fewer headaches, increased depth of field, increased coordination), Amy says vision therapy is “impossible without Daniel’s constant support, love, and assistance”.

Like a rose that slowly opens from a tightly closed bud to an opened flower, vision therapy is something that takes time, patience, and nurturing care. Not just by Amy as she undergoes vision therapy, but also by the love and care shown by her closest and strongest support: her husband, Daniel.
