Inspired by some traditional Irish flavors, this chocolate stout beer cake donut is absolutely delicious when paired with your favorite stout beer.
It is dipped in a warm glaze made from Irish cream and a locally sourced stout, building structure and balance into the finish. Pistachios are simmered in simple syrup and dehydrated to preserve their natural green color, then coarsely ground with a touch of salt before being sprinkled over the glaze.
The result highlights balanced sweetness with subtle bitterness and texture that is just excellent.
